Exhibitor Information

All Trainers please read and make all of your exhibitors, owners, grooms, etc aware of these policies.

Entries close May 1, 2017. Entries postmarked after May 1, 2017, will be charged a post entry fee of $20.00 per horse. Entry and stall fees must accompany Entry blanks. Absolutely no stalls will be reserved until payment has been received. Stall fee is $140.00. Stalls will be available on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 12 noon  NOT BEFORE and must be vacated by 10:00 pm Sunday, May 28, 2017.

  • NO HORSES WILL BE ALLOWED TO ARRIVE ON THE GROUNDS BEFORE 12:00 pm NOON WEDNESDAY, May 24, 2017

  • Campers may arrive after 7:00 am on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Anyone wishing to bring a camper before MUST contact and make arrangements with John Lampropoulos (603) 770-1884 and will be charged an early arrival fee of $30.00 per day.
  • Camper hook-ups with water and electricity are available at a charge of $185.00. A dumping station is available
  • Stall fees are nonrefundable after the closing date
  • Exhibitors are responsible for damage incurred by them or by their horses to the tent stalls, barns, show ring or other buildings on the grounds. All strapping, zip ties, hooks, or anything that is used for decorations and tack areas, etc. must be removed by all exhibitors before vacating the grounds
  • ALL BARNS MUST HAVE GROUNDED ELECTRICAL CORDS (3

    prong), NO BOX FANS, ALL FANS MUST BE 3PRONG. ALL EXTENSION CORDS & DROP LIGHTS MUST BE 3-PRONGED, PER ORDER OF THE FIRE MARSHAL

  • No smoking in any buildings
  • Dogs must be on leash at all times

In all classes for registered horses only, the proper registered name and number must be listed on the entry form and the proper owner listed on the entry form. Also, include a copy of registration papers. Add or scratch entries must be made before the close of the previous session. Entries wishing to be stabled together must indicate so on each individual's stabling list.

The horse show committee reserves the right to change/add any official without notification. This horse show reserves the right to cancel, combine or divide any class where it is deemed advisable and to reschedule any divided class. A class may be canceled due to insufficient entries. Entries made payable to Greater Boston Charity Horse Show. Office fee of $25.00 per horse. There is a $25.00 charge to exhibitors who fail to pay fees before leaving the show, including exhibitors who have a check on file. There is a $30.00 charge for non-negotiable checks. Entries are only refundable with a veterinarian certificate. Health requirements per the Department of Public Health require that all horses provide a copy of a negative Coggins dated within 6 months of the show for out of state and 12 months for in-state horses and a certificate to prove the Eastern and Western Equine Encephalitis vaccination has been administered.

The Topsfield Fair Association, Topsfield Fairgrounds, the Greater Boston Charity Horse Show, The Horse Show Committee, UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc., and all horse show officials, committee members, or employees will not be responsible for any legal proceedings or liabilities from any such accident or loss of property caused to or by the property or employees of such exhibitor.

The GBCHS reserves the right to return any entry/entrance fee before the opening of the show without being liable for compensation.

Holds will be granted at the discretion of the paddock master and/or Show Chairman. These must be requested before the start of each session. We will try to cooperate with an exhibitor requesting a hold, but will not be responsible if a hold is not honored. If a hold is granted, the in-gate will be held for two minutes, then open for two minutes before the class is closed.

No classes will be stripped.

No person will be allowed in the ring excepted the required ones. NO person shall approach a Judge unless first obtaining permission from the Show Steward. The Steward will not permit any exhibitor or trainer to speak with the Judge until the horse or rider in question has completed its last class in the show. Any exhibitor disregarding this rule will be asked to cancel all entries and forfeit entry fees.

No Horse Show Parking anywhere near the school busses.

Trailers used as campers will be charged $185.00

All bills must be paid in full by the end of the show.

Saturday Night $250.00 Jackpot Classes: The Jackpot classes are offered in the Saddlebred & Morgan division. $50 entry fee, $250 purse with 1/2 the total entry fees paid back.

First - 40% Second - 25% Third - 15% Fourth - 10% 

Trophies will be awarded in all classes unless otherwise specified as money.

Greater Boston Charity Horse Show is affiliated with NEHC, NEPOBA, MHC, CTSA and TSASA.

We are also registered with ASHA for qualifying points for the KY State Fair Worlds Championship Horse Show for ASB Park, ASB Show Pleasure, and ASB Country Pleasure.

Stick Horse Class Saturday after the Academy classes.

Six ribbons will be awarded in all classes. Prize money will be distributed in the ring. GBCHS will not be responsible for prize money after the award has been made.
